A baby shower for Nick

This precious little bundle of pure joy was celebrated last night. Isn't he just the best? Earl and I thought a little party was in order so we gathered the immediate family and had a little shower.

I just cannot get over the joy I see in Rick and Marie's faces when they look at him, hold him, change him. Even the nastiest diaper doesn't seem to ruin their happiness. Lovin your kids, aint life grand?

And of course this little bundle of joy was visiting too. Little Ava just gets cuter every day. Can you believe these big blue eyes?

We were so happy to see her, although she wasn't much interested in being passed around *sigh* we just need more visits, can you swing that Dan & Julie?

Allison took a moment during the party to heap a little love on her dad. I just had to share this sweet picture:>)

How many Millers (or Baileys)does it take to run a video camera? Looks like a lot! One to adjust the camera and four more to pass babies around...

Aunt Sharon was up from Florida to see her grandson and we all had such a good time visiting

and catching up with each other!

Julies Baby Shower

Last Sunday (October 21st) we had a baby shower to welcome the newest member of the Miller family. Baby Ava!

This is her first picture! I can tell already she will be a beauty and we are all so anxious to see her and give her a cuddle:>)

We had Uncle Arts house all decorated for the big event. I don't think I have ever seen this much pink in this house before, and I doubt I will see it this pink again!

Marie and her mom did a beautiful job in the decorations and getting every detail just right.

Lauren & Victoria and I helped Marie wrap candy bars in pretty papers for party favors.

Marie got some beautiful carnations to decorate the tables.

And LOOK at this amazing, fabulous, delicious food! Yup, Marie did it all, it was so good and so pretty!

Aunt Nancy brought this gorgeous platter of fruit. Did you ever see such a pretty fruit tray? I haven't!

Here are all the goodies for Ava. What a pile. Uncle had a really great turn out from his church, but I didnt know any of those people and I never thought to take their picture! Isn't that just dorky? I can be such a flake sometimes. Take my word though, there were a bunch of lovely people there.

These are some of the gifts Julie opened. I sure hope they are right about having a girl because there wasn't a speck of blue to be seen!

Now that is a cute picture frame! And later it will come in handy for that birds & bees talk all parents have to have

Now this was good. Someone gave Dan and Julie cash and Viloa and Katie were sitting next to Julie and announced the amount to everyone. That got a laugh:>) Those kids are so cute! That's all the pics I have. We had a great time but we missed you Aunt Sharon! I hope Dan & Julie will email us pictures when Ava is born so I can put them on this blog for the whole family to enjoy! We love you Dan & Julie:>)

Miller Non-Reunion

Hi family, I have created this blog as a non-public way to show photos for just Miller family members. Lets start with the Miller Non-Reunion, Above, you will see the founder of this event, Uncle Art. Viola looks like she is about to spit on his head doesn't she? Let me just say right now that Dan and Julie and Aunt Sharon, Chris, Bruce & Penny & family, Clarence, and anyone else who was unable to make it was very much missed! We were all so disappointed that you couldn't make it! I am glad that at least Dan & Julie will be up here soon. Mwah! we love you lots! Now if this isn't a nefarious looking group of people I don't know what is. Earl and I arrived and almost just got back in the car and left we were so scared. But then he realized he is related to all these people and we decided to tough it out. It wasn't so bad.Here, Earl, Victoria and Julianne get the grills going and ready for our family specialty, grilled pizza! Yay! It is about 12 noon. Karen will not get here until about 2:00 with the pizza ingredients. We have all gnawed our left arm off by then, but we make do with our right arms and get the food ready.Yum-O! Look what you missed! If there is one thing the Millers know how to do right it is putting on a big feed. But wait there's more! Yeah! Salads galore! All delicious! All healthy!But what we all really want is...... DESSERT! So we all have an appetizer of cookies and pie while we wait for the grilled pizza! After grilled pizza, and pulled pork sandwiches, and sloppy Joes, we will have another helping of cookies and pie and cheesecake! Because everyone knows sweets can be used for both appetizers and dessert:>) Yay! I love this family! This picture shows where all the real fun always is at the family non-reunion, and every other party! The Kitchen of course! That is where the food is! Karen finally arrives with the pizza ingredients

And she and Earl get busy cranking out those pizzas! Watch out Earl! Looks like she's going to give you a pinch! I forgot to get a picture of everyone eating, so pretend there are plates on the the tables and that everyone looks as happy and full as they really did after they had dessert appetizers, grilled pizza, sloppy joes, pulled pork sandwiches, salads, chips and dip and more dessert! Let me tell you, they were pretty happy! I just wanted to share Marie's cute shoes with everyone. I was very impressed and wished I could find cute shoes like that in jumbo size like I wear. Here is Rick lining us all up for the infamous group photo that we are all forced to endure every year. Rick has to do it this year because our regular photographer was unable to come (we miss you Dan and Julie!!!) And here it is, the group photo. This is my group photo because I took one too. Sadly, I am not in it because I am once again behind the camera :>( Sorry. Rick is still behind his camera too. You will have to get pictures with everyone in them from Rick. I think this bunch looks like they are up to something. I don't know why I let my kids hang around that man! Well, ok, it's 'cause we love him. But he still looks shifty! Mom thinks she is being funny because she is making it difficult for me to take her picture, little does she know that I will use any picture, even a bad one. Haha mom, the joke is on you! I took this picture while everyone was waiting for the group photo to happen. I don't know who all these people are, do you think they found out about the food and crashed the party? Haha, just kidding, we know they belong to us! Below are some miscellaneous pictures that I am too tired to caption. I will let you make up your own fun stories to go with them.

This poor little flower has survived repeated attempts by Art to kill it with round-up! You go little flower! This concluded the photo shoot of the non-reunion becasue at this point my camera battery went dead and I had to go eat more dessert to console myself. What a shame that was! I hope those of you who couldn't make it enjoy seeing the pictures here. It was almost like being there wasnt it? Love you all!
